Tree Rings....

These are some Tree Ring Brooches I was working on this past weekend. My bro had cut these "cookies" for me a while ago. Anyways, I just did some simple drawings with Phil's micron pens and markers, sealed it with a matte, water-based varnish, and glued a pin back to them. Then I mounted them on some felt rectangles. They're about 1 3/4" in diameter and vary between 1/4" - 3/8" thick. I just thought they would be a grwat Fall accessory, pinned to a purse or a scarf!

Nice work on the woodchips. It looks like whoever cut them was a master rotary saw operator of unparalleled skill and talent with a flair for the obvious, coupled with the dexterity and determination of a multi tasking genius from a time where simplicity and convention was not only second nature but also respected and attained by those who could miraculously transcend and encompass all that was ambient and hidden from a society which lacked the means of proper practice and execution without sacrificing the fundamental aspects of an occupation that demanded the utmost in focus and creativity yielding a obscure and unpredictable vortex of color and shape that would bewilder an untrained eye and stun those who could not only assertain but also differentiate between the countless questions and properties of the purest particle of hope and desire that begs to scream the final answer to a life long and well debated topic that trumps all other forms of media since in the end we can confidently say that in the end it's probably a tachyon beam. Salutations bitch.
